NSW Minerals Project

Nexus has been granted ~7,500km2 of tenure over prospective critical minerals tenure in NSW

Critical Minerals Exploration Package

Nexus Minerals holds a commanding ~7,500km² of tenure in New South Wales. The project is highly prospective for a suite of critical minerals, including copper, gold, tin, lithium, caesium and tantalum. The project has several advantages including,

  • First mover advantage – Nexus is the first to consolidate a large, underexplored landholding across the region, enabling regional-scale exploration and targeting.
  • Strong geological setting – The ground is located within the Wagga–Omeo Zone (WOZ) of the Lachlan Orogen, a structural corridor recognised as highly prospective for:
    • Gold
    • Tin
    • Lithium-Caesium-Tantalum (LCT) pegmatites
  • Copper Opportunity – Tenure includes areas prospective for copper mineralisation

The WOZ stretches ~700km north–south and ~80km east–west, from Omeo in southern Victoria to Nymagee in central NSW. Nexus’ project footprint strategically covers tenure across this corridor, with extensions into zones prospective for copper.

Exploration

Nexus has undertaken a data-driven, regional-scale targeting program which has included,

  • Review of geology and lithogeochemical datasets to identify intrusive rocks permissive for LCT pegmatite development.
  • Assessment of fertility indicators using open-file datasets and known mineral occurrences.
  • Re-processing and interpretation of government geophysical datasets including magnetics, radiometrics and gravity.
  • Systematic mapping, sampling, and geochemical analysis now underway to refine priority targets and constrain the exploration footprint to the highest mineralisation potential.
